Initially, Abby faced language barriers and felt uncertain about where to begin and how to seek assistance. However, her meeting with Program Manager, Donna Baldwin at the Community Hub of St Georges Road Primary School & Shepparton English Language, marked a turning point. Donna connected Abby with the necessary resources and enrolled her in the pilot program.
In May 2024, Abby began her traineeship at Kialla Children’s Centre in Shepparton. She quickly adapted to her new role and has since thrived in the supportive environment.
Abby and Donna recently shared their experiences with breakfast presenter Nic Healey on ABC Goulburn Murray Radio, highlighting Abby’s journey and the remarkable success of the Greater Shepparton Early Years Pilot.
