About

WomenCAN Australia is a charity that helps isolated and vulnerable women reclaim their financial independence.

We do this through our program, The Placement Circle, which connects women to TAFE training, legitimate jobs, and the facilitated support of other women just like them – in their community, close to home.

WomenCAN Australia was created by lawyer, Mikaela Stafrace, using a Myer Fellowship stipend.

Please talk to us If you think The Placement Circle could help you or someone you know. Membership is free and unconditional and we welcome all women; from those hungry to start training, to those whose priority is to find support in a community of like-minded peers.

Our success relies on the support of people who understand how important our work is. If that's you, we would value your tax-deductible donation or gift. Talk to us to learn more or donate here.

Partnerships with TAFE institutions are key to our ability to connect women with accredited, free vocational training. If you are a TAFE provider who would like to know more about WomenCAN Australia and The Placement Circle, contact us here.

If you are a potential employer of qualified, work-ready women from The Placement Circle, we want to hear from you.
