LikeWISE Launches at the Purpose Precinct

WomenCAN Australia forms part of a new Melbourne Initiative Set to Test How Investing in Social Enterprises Can Increase Employment Impact

What happens when purpose-driven organisations come together to create more pathways to employment?

WomenCAN Australia has been selected as one of the three inaugural organisations taking part in LikeWISE, a pioneering six-year initiative led by social enterprise leader STREAT and based at Melbourne’s iconic Queen Victoria Market.

The program will test how greater collaboration, shared resources and investment in social enterprises can create stronger employment outcomes for people facing barriers to work.

As a champion of women’s financial independence through education and employment, WomenCAN Australia will contribute its expertise while learning alongside other leading social enterprises to help build a model that could benefit communities across Australia.

“LikeWISE brings together organisations that understand the power of meaningful employment to transform lives. We’re excited to contribute our experience and learn from others in an ecosystem focused on creating greater impact through collaboration.” — Heather Saunders, CEO, WomenCAN Australia
